You seem to need people to comment on the gear lever and cables and soon hopefully they will.
There is a clutch master cylinder problem we can get and as the seal wears sometimes we don't realise but the clutch pedal is already half way down before we put our foot on the clutch. And as the clutch pedal cant travel down much more we struggle to get the car into gear or change gear. I found by simply lifting the pedal higher to where it should be using my foot or hand that the clutch then works for a while or long while
