To help members correctly identify which original Rover head units were fitted to their cars, Duotone and I have compiled this guide.
From the beginning of production in 1998 up until to 2002 there were just three types of radio in the 75:
1) Harmony
A 7 watt per channel radio by Phillips
2) Symphony
A 25 watt per channel radio by Alpine
2a) Symphony
with Low Line satellite navigation
3) High Line satellite navigation
with built in TV by Alpine
The Symphony and the High Line Sat Nav could be upgraded by the option of:
The Harmon Kardon sound system
This 10 speaker system consisted of uprated speakers in the door cards, 180 watt power amp in the boot & a subwoofer
The Symphony and High Line sat nav remained an option until the end of the production
All the above head units could be upgraded with the addition of a
6 CD Multi changer which could be boot mounted or placed in the glove box.
From 2002 MG Rover dropped the Harmony radio and used the single Din Iovox system instead.
Three variants were available:
1) Iovox CD 80
A 20 watt per channel single CD and radio tuner
2) Iovox M3 100
A 25 watt per channel single CD radio tuner with MP3 disc playback
3) Iovox CR 80
A 20 watt per channel radio cassette with boot mounted 6 CD multi changer
As an alternative to the Iovox single slot CD unit,
in 2002 the Blaupunkt 'CD 32' a 45 watt per channel single CD head unit was also introduced
Blaupunkt CD 32 single CD radio tuner
45 watt per channel

Finally, shortly after the facelift 75 was introduced between late 2004 & early 2005, the head unit supplier was changed from Iovox to Siemens/VDO,
again three options were available:
1) The VDO CD 413X
A 35 watt per channel single CD radio tuner
2) The VDO CD 5404MP3X
A 35 watt per channel single CD radio tuner with MP3 CD playback
3) The VDO CR213X
A 20 watt per channel radio cassette with 6 CD multi changer
