Yeah, I'll have a look next time I'm under there - thanks for that info. My plan (in the fullness of time) is to look for a good subframe on a diesel tourer in a scrapper and just take the whole assembly. That way I can make a proper job of repainting and rebuilding it with new bushes and other bits that it needs.
The car deserves a bit of TLC in that area and I don't like having parts seized in place in case, as you say, I ever need to get it apart.
