A TIP
A few weeks ago I used a 3M kit on my cloudy lenses. I am most impressed with the result, but offer a tip for those about to take this step.
Both the kit's guidance, and the You-Tube videos that I watched emphasised the need to ensure that, in the latter stages, the pad & polishing mix doesn't get too dry. To ensure this, I sprayed on water regularly. This did keep the area suitably wetted, but had the side effect that excess polish got sprayed all over the engine bay.
So, THE TIP:-
When preparing to polish, place old newspaper, or a cover that can be cleaned easily, over the engine bay, wing tops and, if possible, the underside of the bonnet.
