John, its quite understandable having a fear of needles. My worst experience was 2 years ago when I had shingles in the eye and on the head which was painful. After about 45 minutes, I could not stand it, the needles in the eyeballs was worse. I called the acupuncturist over to remove the needles. The acupuncture felt like torture. ......I never went back
