Sorry, but you are wrong, if you have ever removed an alternator you would realise that both (2) bearings are only accessible with the alternator dismantled and both bearings are sealed both sides and not open bearings.
If anyone wanted to introduce fresh grease, pointless because the bearings are so cheap, the bearings would have to be removed and the seals prized out to introduce more grease !
