Few years ago now the clutch went on my 1.8 club. Short MOT and scruffy.
I popped it on Gumtree next morning and it sold in 20 minutes for £300. Chap (said he was a breaker) turned up with a recovery wagon a hour later. Bought my green v6 from a local couple and it was on the drive by tea-time :¬)
I reckon its always worth a try on gumtree or facebook before approaching scrap dealers.
