I should add that with ethanol smoke may be a bit less hot (Coolant is 82°C instead of 90°C and the the upper engine is actually less hot as well).

Airflow is probably improved without the curly bits - the chunky straights do detract a bit from the overall look of the back end though (IMHO).
Still can't decide!
Btw, Lady C looks pretty rust-free underneath - must be all that fabulous south of France weather.
