deep filled meat pie.mushy peas & garlic/herby potato wedgies for tea.

It was our wedding anniversary over the weekend when I was laid up in bed sick, 46 years service man and boy
I owe my missus a nice card & a bottle of her favourite tipple I think.

Years ago, when I was still with my folks here, we had bother with a barmy crow pulling the mastic off the outside of the window frames! My father was in the agriculture business and borrowed a high power air rifle from a farmer, I came home about 5am off a nightshift, daylight had just come in. I disturbed the crow attacking the mastic. I watched where it went, got the rifle and lined up a shot. It was perched on the top of a lamp post a couple of hundred yards away. I wasn't too hopeful but took the shot. I was amazed when the crow dropped to the ground then I watched as it got up again, staggered a bit then stood looking around as if it was trying to work out what the hell just happened before flying away. I'd obviously hit it but at the limit of the rifle's range and presume I only stunned it, there wasn't enough power at that range to do any damage.
LOL They breed em tough up there.
