The article is comparing apples with pears. Yes it is the same engine but a different turbo. The BMW has a Variable vane unit, yes it will push out more HP will be smoother as well in some respect, but the unit itself is not as reliable as our more conventional and smaller unit. Using the power and thrashing any motor will destroy it, look after it and drive sensibly.....
