Each to their own, I don't find pressing the clutch pedal an issue.

In stop start traffic and slow moving traffic, an auto too has its "draw backs".

Auto can travel too fast in slow moving traffic.
Still need manual intervention for engine braking

Less chance of stalling
possibly better when reversing a trailer as no need to slip clutch to reverse slowly
less to think about...some people cant cope with a manual
easier for those that have a physical issue pressing clutch pedal
may not roll backwards or forwards when going up a steep hill when left in drive /reverse and you have stopped, some roll some dont

for me....more fun
apparently less tax but that should not be an issue when deciding which to buy
better control reversing up a steep slope
