This stuff is of true concern, but this goes way beyond the drop link scenario -
Safety critical components -
Tyres
Brakes & hydraulics
Nasty suspension / steering Components.

The list is endless, not to mention the morons fitting such rubbish and expecting it to perform as the "OE" component did and for as long !

I will be the first to admit - I don't fit stainless steel alternators, gold plated coil springs ETC, but they have to be of a good standard, otherwise they don't get fitted.
I am known as a snail at work, but equally, I don't fit the wrong tyres, forget to torque up wheel bolts, fit new pads to dirty contaminated calipers and the wrong way round Oh yes, seen this on a car in for test ! So I am happy being a trusted snail and keeping safe in what I achieve.
