Despite their name, the guy who runs Freelander Specialist (
www.freelanderspecialist.com) at Methwold, near Brandon in Suffolk knows as much about the KV6 as pretty much anyone on here (some early Freelanders used the KV6) and he calls it his "favourite engine". He did a complete rebuild on mine last year and its runs beautifully. Worth a call, but the other recommendations above will be equally good.
