I tested 48vdc and a silly amount of ac but neither were under load. I could not test amperage, when I tried I got a spark......quite a big one for such a small unit, made me jump.
psu should arrive Friday and i'll pray that this solves the problem

Before you fire it up with the new power supply, check the feeds to the cameras and make sure you have no shorts in the supply leads.
