Excess coolant from header tank
Hi folks, thanks to TC, MGJOHN and Simon for their help and advice.I have not checked the prt this time as I had fitted a new one recently, but I will check this and replace if needed.The hose containing the bleed screw is hot along with all the other hoses.I have noted all your advice and will be putting it into practice over the weekend, checking and double checking so nothing is left to chance.One question I must ask where is the thermostat housing ? I have looked at cambelt side of engine and behind engine and also air filter area and I just cannot see any housing in relation to this.Is it just me ! I totally agree these are lovely old cars and I will do my utmost to keep it going.Obviously spending the money to get the garage to do the work wasn`t fruitful so it is down to me to try and sort this issue along with your invaluable help.Thankyou, regards Paul
