Indeed it is!
I'd definitely unplug it or disconnect its fuse which is likely to be at least a 50amp fuse in the under bonnet fuse box. Sorry I cant help further as I am not able to access my discs as they are in my shed and out of bounds at the moment, that's on orders from the wife as I’ve been overdoing things since my op!
The car should still start less the glowplug supply, may just need a little more cranking with a little more throttle.
