The extra wire to the light switch is not something that would be easy to add to an aftermarket relay, as the relay needs to tell the light switch the has been a Bulb failure, which is done as a message on the extra wire mentioned in post 1.
The BMW equvilent part can be fitted, as per this post

As for the original posters query, the pin is not anything special I find something that fitted in a random board connector from farnell. Could have been one of these?
