Just found another reason to dislike the new “spindle” cooling fans (
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-75-...0AAOSwfVpYpx0I), other than there’s no locking mechanism for the blades and mine went in helicopter mode. At a recent local meet I diagnosed a member’s low speed fan as faulty, it was a 2 speed with silver resistor. He visited today and we managed to change the resistor for a gold one, awkward to say the least, normally I would have removed the blades but with the press fit spindle this wasn’t an option. Hang on to the originals for as long as you can.
