Hi George.
The first time it may well take you an hour, if you have done as many as i have then about 15mins to remove.

First it's engine cover off, three 8mm bolts.
1

Lift cover off car and put it safe along with the bolts.
2

3

You then need to remove the air duct, two screws either side.
4

And three along the slam panel.
5

Pull towards you from the air filter case and remove from car.
6

You are now ready to remove the manifold, two sizes of sockets 10mm and 11mm. flat blade screw driver.

Undo the jubilee clip to the EGR, and pull off the hose.
7

Next remove the special clip from the EGR to exhaust pipe, usually this will undo and just roll off onto the exhaust pipe.
8

8a

Pull off the hose from the EGR.
9

Pop out the wiring lug from the manifold.
10

Pop out the two hoses on the side of the manifold.
11

12

Remove the MAP sensor plug by pressing in the spring and pushing it down with the screw driver.
13

14

Phew you are now ready to remove the manifold, first undo the 10mm captive bolts at the top.
15

16

Now you can remove the bottom nuts and one bolt. 11mm
14

There are four nuts three in side the manifold and one on the right side.
once you have them undone scoop them out with an hook or small screw driver.
15

16

Put them safe, the last bolt is down by the MAP sensor again 11mm
17

You can now lift the manifold and EGR as one unit.
18

19

20

Make sure you have not left and of the red seal on the engine.
21

You now need to remove the MAP sensor off the side of the manifold 10mm bolt.

22

Wipe it clean with a rag sprayed with carb cleaner do not poke anything into the air hole.
23

Remove the EGR and all the red rubber seals from the manifold.
24

25

The manifold is now ready to clean, the best way to do that is scrap out and gunk you can,

26

27

Then spray oven cleaner into all the outlets and let it soak for at least 3 hours or more.

Then you can jet wash the manifold out.
28

Repeat if you have till until it's clean inside.
29

Dry it out and refit all the rubber seals which you have wiped clean in the mean time.

Refit your clean MAP and EGR to the manifold.

Then fit the manifold back on to the car in reverse it came off.
