HI Richard.
Where did you get the ECM & EWS key etc from and do you still have your original ECM if so send it to MarinaBrian to take a look at as using another ECM & EWS /key will work but not as it should properly.
The glow plugs would have been a false avenue really, have you done a leak back test, do you have an under bonnet pump, is that running ok? as the ECM you have fitted ever been wet? you need to get it on a T4 if you can save you the trouble of second guessing.
