Wouldn’t the easiest solution be, since the car remains attended, to leave the keys in the ignition and turned to the accessories position?
I know, you’re going to tell me that you have other keys on the fob. If so, get a second key cut and give it to your wife so that you can take yours with you and she can listen to the radio!
