I think the days of buying a Cowley or PPD car needing work for a few hundred pounds will soon come to an end. Maybe when a rare car becomes available we should be buying it and standing it up on sorn until the time is right to get it sorted out. That's what I plan to do anyway!
Well it looks like I got lucky, my 2000 (built 02/12/1999) W reg 75 1.8 Classic SE cost me just £800... A few niggles to sort, but only 71200 miles at purchase. Out of interest had a look on eBay, couldn't find one for less than £1000 & most were £1500+ with more miles and dubious history.
