Before you do
anything..... Disconnect the battery negative lead for at least 15 minutes to allow any residual charge in the SRS system to drain.
Edit: My seats are T50, and IIRC, every MG/Rover i've had has been T50.
Once they are all undone, rock the seat backwards and disconenct any wiring for airbags, pre-tensioner, heated seat etc.
Then carefully lift out of the car
