Oddly enough I've recently discovered that my nearside one is in two bits - one attached to the bumper, the other to the screw

I'm thinking of simply making a piece of "L shaped stainless(?) and attaching that to the bumper with pop rivets/small bolts/adhesive and then drilling a small hole in the appropriate place for the screw through the bumper, or a bigger hole with a clip like many of the others around the bumper.

As you say the quality/material of the original isn't great.

If/when I get that far I'll post up some pics.

She's SORN'd at the moment and SWMBO seems to have found "several" jobs that, apparently, need doing
