From a MG tourer you say? that's not brilliant when you own a Cimmaron Green Rover 75 saloon though
At the very minimum make sure the NNW number is NNW006011 as well as the part number being NNN500340.
If for sake of argument the NNW number is NNW005991 then it's not right for your car
Why not simply have the original ECM repaired and save yourself a load of grief?
There are alternatives to bodging it, and wasting time and energy, as well as the risk of things not working as you expect, airbags for instance....... won't work as tourer and saloons are configured differently, and the master coding key for the car is held in the immobiliser
