The seats in my 2004 diesel conny SE had two thermostats in each seat. There was a thermostat controlling the element in the squab that was positioned in the foam at the back of the squab. There was another thermostat controlling the element in the seat back that was positioned in the foam at the bottom of the back. Before pulling the seat covers back to reach the thermostats you could easily check that it is not the switch/timer unit in the dash that is causing your problem by swapping them over (passenger><driver). The switches pop out and unplug so swapping them is easy. Both my seats were poor so I fitted alternative thermostats that made some improvement but they were still not as warm as other seats I have experienced such as Ford and Skoda.
