When countries signed up to the Paris accord emission standards they are legally binding, The UK's environmental bill became a 'Act' last November with the royal seal of approval & Clientearth have the law on their side. The lawsuits are happening across the board with investors now demanding the energy/oil companies to clean up their emissions or they will divest from them.
