Mine is an original Mk1 badge, so virtually identical in size. I didn't bother removing the old wafer-thin Mk2, but simply stuck the Mk2 straight on top. I think I had to cut a mounting lug (maybe two?) off the rear side first. It's been in place fourteen years and still looks like new. I suspect a lot of the badges available from retailers, eBay, etc. are mass produced copies.
