Thanks Pete for the information, I couldn't find anything in the gov.uk website that tells us what to do.

If there is an mot testing station open, get it moted. If you are not using the car, sorn it. If there are no mot testing stations open then yes there is a possible grey area, be interested to know what DVLA have to say.
