£50 a corner for s/h steel rims and pseudo-european winter compound. For me, it's a no-brainer.
I don't mind the car looking a bit daft for a couple of months. The smug face I wear when passing the Range Rovers, Q7s and X-thingys sliding across two lanes with their summer-chemistry-rubber more than makes up for it.
You wouldn't say "I could really do with a winter jacket, but I'll stick to my summer jacket, and just wear it more carefully"
