It's really getting us both down. It feels like a home invasion.

With home working, it's incredibly hard to concentrate.
Further to that, I'm worried that they can hear us.

I want to get the wall insulated and was wondering if anybody else had done similar and if so, how did you do it?

I've seen some kits, but they will take up six inches of the room. That won't work because of where the doors are.

Prior to lockdown, it didn't bother me too much. I was leaving home at 5.00am and getting home at 8.00pm.
My partner had mentioned it, (as she works from home anyway) but I didn't realise the extent of it until I started working from home too.

Any advice or suggestions?
Know exactly how you feel, had the same problem, made lots of enquerirs which proved expensive. I eventually decided to have ago myself. used 1/4 x 1 1/2 inch batten which I glued to the wall (no nails) in a square patten, then filled each square with sound floor proofing, covered the whole wall with plaster board and decorated as normal. the whole new wall is only 1/4 + thickness of plaster board. the difference is amazing. My neighbour has no idea what we have done, I would recommend having ago your self.we can still hear the odd noise (which is not a bad thing sometimes) I belive if I had doubled up on the plaster board would have been even better . make sure you use adisive for the battens no drilling into party wall. Hope this helps worked for us,and cost very little. Message me for anymore info be glad to help
