Good morning Richard, as the Co Executor is a solicitor, get him/her involved to deal with anything legal or in dispute. We are going through this at the moment with the division of assets and property of Jessica’s mum who passed away 18 months ago. We went to the high court in Nairobi in February with the solicitor and a barrister for the probate hearing. The court was packed and we had to wait our turn. When it came, we all had to stand up in front of the judge with our barrister who did the speaking, there were no issues. The next thing for us is to sit down in a family meeting with the solicitor to discuss amicably, the division of property etc, In the interests of family relations there will be give and take, then compromises ...as money is not everything.....but who knows, we might be in for some surprises. When someone passes away, everything changes.

You are stronger than you think Richard, you were given the position of main executor for your strength of character and reliability. You will get through this, but do lean on your solicitor to play his/her part, to lessen the stress.
