The 1.6 has 300nm of torque Steve - whereas the 2.2 had 340nm - so not a huge difference. However, we were already discussing retiring from caravanning, and going down the route of self-catering country cottages for our jollies - possibly next year. Both of us now have a few muscle problems which don't sit well with the caravan, so we'd talked about a change a few times. The problem with the CRV has simply brought that decision forward.

It was a bit of a shock when the garage rang - but I'm pleasantly surprised in being offered £2,500 trade in. I suspect they'll put it through an auction somewhere and look to get their money back. They'll have a decent margin on whatever I buy from them, so they won't lose out!
