The story behind the Swallows is a sad one.
The roof of the house where they are nesting is being repaired. The nests in the eaves have been destroyed with the baby birds - Doves, Swallows and Pigeons, killed by the builders with machetes, quick and final. What was sad, was to see Mum birds flying around looking for the nests and their little ones.
