Only you can tell if there is play in the drop links by checking them. --- the top bearings won't make a noise like a flat tyre.

Have you hit a kerb perhaps. Could be a blister on the tyre wall.

Wheel bearings will make a grumbling noise but not suddenly. If the noise has only appeared since you changed the drop links maybe the noise has something to do with the work you did.---
