Put another way.
My modern Peugeot has had essential money spent on it since I bought it in October 2019.
Cam belt
Water pump
Aux belt
4 tyres initially and just put 2 new ones on the front
2 full services
Windscreen wipers x3 including the rear one
It runs superb and is totally reliable. Turns 50+ mpg all day long.
Now the killer. Since October 2019 it has dropped in value from 4K to about 2.5k.
Can’t hold back depreciation.
At least with the 75 and ZT they may be able to hold their value I bit longer or depreciate less quickly.
All cars need the list I made above to be done. Neither my ZT or Peugeot will sell for a price where I get back all I’ve spent.
I look at the ZT as a hobby that transports me everyday.
