It took me longer to get the unground circoli one out than it did to get Matt's in. To be honest I think grinding is unnecessary, but it does make it a marginally less brutal job.
Matt's thermostats are much better quality than the circoli item I tried before, and I'm now getting temperatures up to 89 although only briefly. It seems to stabilize at 85, rather than 79-80 like it was with the circoli.
Hopefully that will make a difference - it certainly has to the heater, it's incredible how much difference a few degrees makes.
