Yesterday's 70 mile drive to look at a starlight silver TF ended up with me buying a pearlescent black one that I didn't go to look at!
Wasn't happy with the silver one, which was cheaper a bit more budget than this one as it had been a works runabout (the garage/dealer I went to specialises in TFs).
So I looked at this instead! 65,000, very full history indeed with the book stamped annually without fail and a further folder of invoices. Very good underneath (dealer put it up on the lift for us).
Some nice extras too: spoiler, hardtop, side scoops, clear rear lights, roll hoop, glass windstop, stainless sports exhaust (moderately loud, getting used to this still!), K&N filter, tonneau etc.
Also a private plate. Last owner sadly passed away so the widow asked the dealer (who had sold it to them) to resell. I assume that's why the plate is staying on the car.
Car has done very few miles since 2011 which is when the head gasket, belts, tensioner and water pump were done so I need to decide whether to trust the low miles or get them done again. Aside from that it doesn't seem to need anything.
Still keeping the 75, but with my daughter now driving she nabs my wife's car, who then nabs the 75 so a 3rd set of wheels is handy.
An incredibly reasonable £170 to insure 7500 miles p.a. on a classic policy (no NCB as used on the 75) with mods declared.
