For info, there are diagrams of the front & rear pre-tensioners on Rave pages 75-21 and 75-22 (Workshop Manual > System Description & Operation). The cutaway on 75-21 shows how nitrogen drives the piston along the tube, causing the buckle to be pulled down towards the anchoring point.

NB. Safety note. Service Procedures > Restraint Systems has various warnings in red text, e.g. Don't lean over a pre-tensioner when removing or installing it. / Don't block the end of the piston tube. / Disconnect battery & wait 10 minutes before doing any work on the SRS system.
