First of all your ATC needs wiring into the remote set up, but after that all you need to do is leave the ATC on a desired setting before you leave the car say the day before, and the remote will switch it on at the setting you left it on

Wiring can be done either with Webasto original loom etc, or via an aftermarket remote which is much cheaper
