My Mk2 saloon boot (spare wheel well) cover carpet constantly getting soaked in N/S corner (behind rear light cluster). I've replaced the rear light gasket with a new one-piece part but it's still happening. Following rain (or after cleaning) I can detect significant water presence by probing the panel slots (one of which is where the boot lamp fits) that run across the inside of the boot just below the rear screen aperture so I'm now convinced it's the well reported leak point via the screen clips.
Now just waiting for a good dry spell and plucking up courage to lift the (expensive) glass trim and add sealant to each clip position.
