Default Two quick questions starter motor

This morning whilst swapping my car around with that of my other half on the drive.

I started my CDT up and moved it 15 yards, drove the other car where it needed to go on the drive and went to start my CDT.

Despite the battery being fully charged the starter turned over for a split second and then cut out and there's not so much as click out of the starter motor now.

The home breakdown people have been out and put their battery pack on to confirm that it isn't a battery problem and without any further investigation said that it is probably the starter motor and are now sending a recovery vehicle to take the car down a local garage of my choice.

So two questions

1) Is there a fuse or relay that may have blown that could cause such a fault that I can check rather than it being the starter motor?

2) Wheres the best place to get a suitable starter motor from if required?

Thanks in advance
