Siemens have a fairly poor reputation in this neck of the woods too, but I would be surprised if even they would want to get into bed with a spurious startup with no capital, it's not quite the same as Tesla and Panasonic is it?

In regards to Nissan, I'll wait until the line of import into the EU from Japan is established until hanging out the bunting for the people employed at the Washington plant.

Siemens do indeed have a pretty tainted history, here in the North East, at Wynyard, they opened up a factory to great fanfare, only to abandon the site within a couple of years.
