Hi John,
I assume that your car has The “standard” sat Nav monitor as installed in tha Connoisseur SE models.
Here in OZ, I purchase the relevant CDs through a BMW Dealership, or an auto audio business that carries the compatible BMW Sat Nav discs.
The Australian system that I use is produced by a subsidiary company (Sensis) of our telephone company, Telstra. The product is named “Where Is”. I don’t know if New Zealand Has a similar set up.
When I approached Sensis they declined to sell me a disc, claiming that BMW had to wave their wand to make it compatible to my car. Probably has little relevance for our friends across the ditch, but my notes mention that the Whereis reference “WIS 18 Non CIQ” was the compatible edition for my car.
Probably not a great help, but this may give you a lead.
Hope you can locate an updated CD.
