I remember the "family" tour of Cornwall In a late 1930's Ford 8. Family of four, dog, tent, food and dad's usual hundredweight of ex-army spanners. As you say, stunning scenery throughout. We got washed out one night and ended up sleeping in the farmer's house in the kitchen! (Mrs Farmer must have felt sorry for us!) Fresh bacon, eggs and bread for breakfast and a big cuddle from the farmer's wife! ( I was only 7 at the time!) A boat trip around Sennen Cove and we caught 13 mackerel on "spinners". That was afternoon tea sorted! Enjoy.
