I really don't understand why people struggle to get this job right, it just takes a little care.

I wouldn't drive any 75 automatic variant asI simply don't like automatics, however the manual car treated with respect is fine.

I’m wondering if somehow the Freelander slaves are better quality than the 75 slaves.....

You’ve had success with the Freelander slaves, as have a couple of other people, and also when I asked on a LandRover forum if slave cylinder failure is common, and what slave do they recommend, I got one reply.
