Mine has a habit of coming on for no apparent reason-usually when on the motorway. No change in performance for me either. I knock it off with a code reader and just wait until it happens again. Been thru' 2 MOTs so I'm not too concerned. Guess I'll sort it one day. But another T4 should show the fault for you.
