RAC are not as good as they were in response times and I've had some poor experiences. green flag as mentioned will not cover old cars. in the end I stayed with RAC and got cost down with Tesco club card points. they do special deals with double or triple value. I'D strongly urge everyone to have some cover as breakdowns happen and you shouldn't risk getting stranded. motorway recovery can also cost a packet outside a recovery organisation.
