I think you are referring to the pipe that has a small metal tube extension on one end which has not been available for a long time. When I needed one a few years ago I bought two of the other pipe and got a hydraulic pipe workshop to remove the metal extension piece from the old pipe and fit it to one of the new pipes. Has been fitted and working perfectly ever since. For a suitable workshop you need a business that services JCB machines that use a lot of hydraulic pipes - I was lucky as I had one very near me and they had no trouble doing the job very quickly. From memory they charged about £15.
