I've just drained the gearbox oil (KV6 manual) and there's no washer on the T50 drain plug. Should there be one?

Same question goes for the T50 refill plug.

No washers mentioned in Rave and I can't even find the plugs on Rimmers diagrams (unless they're 12 & 15 here).
